Lift Refurbishments in Wigan & Greater Manchester
At National Elevator Services Ltd, we provide professional lift refurbishments throughout Wigan, Greater Manchester and the wider North West.
A lift may still be mechanically sound but look worn, dated, or no longer suit the building it serves. Refurbishment can improve the appearance and usability of an existing lift without a full replacement. We can assess your lift’s condition and recommend practical improvements based on its age, current condition, and how it is used.
Why Might a Lift Need Refurbishing?
Over time, daily use can take its toll on lift interiors, controls and finishes. Refurbishment may be worth considering if:
- The lift interior looks tired or outdated
- Wall panels, flooring or ceilings are damaged
- Buttons, indicators or controls are worn
- The lift no longer reflects the appearance of the building
- Fixtures and finishes have become difficult to maintain
- Accessibility features need improving
- The lift needs a more modern or professional finish
- General wear and tear is affecting the user experience
Refurbishing an existing lift can give it a much fresher appearance while helping to extend its useful life.
What Can Lift Refurbishments Include?
Every lift is different, so the required work depends on the condition of the existing system and the result you want to achieve. Our lift refurbishments can include improvements such as:
- Replacement wall panels
- New flooring
- Updated ceilings and lighting
- New handrails
- Replacement buttons and operating panels
- Updated indicators and displays
- Improved accessibility features
- Replacement doors or door finishes
- General cosmetic improvements
A Practical Alternative to Replacement
A lift doesn’t always need to be replaced just because it looks old or worn. Where the main system remains suitable, refurbishment can provide a more cost-effective way to improve its appearance, usability and overall condition.
It can be particularly useful in offices, apartment blocks, hotels, retail premises and other buildings where the lift forms an important part of the visitor or customer experience.
